The lock is fine but the door will not stay shut. What is happening?
The latch is not fully engaging the strike, so the door rests closed but is not actually latched. That is an alignment fix and it is worth doing quickly, because a door in that state offers almost no security.
How do I stop my exterior lock from freezing?
Keep moisture out of the cylinder. In Elmore County the freezes that cause it come with damp air, and a dry lubricant plus a functioning door sweep and drip cap does more good than anything you can put in the keyway after the fact.
Do you install smart locks?
