Water is coming in at my window sill. What causes that?
Usually blocked weep holes. Windows are designed to collect water in the frame and drain it out, and when those drains clog it backs up and comes inside instead.
Can foggy windows be repaired?
The sealed glass unit gets replaced, but the frame, sash and hardware stay. That is the repair, and it costs a fraction of window replacement.
How do I stop condensation on my windows in winter?
Some of it is indoor humidity rather than the window. But if the glass surface is cold enough to condense heavily, the unit may have failed. In Rock Creek it is worth checking whether the moisture is on the surface or between the panes.
My window will not stay open. What is broken?
