Can a bent screen frame be straightened?
Sometimes. Light aluminum frames can often be brought back to square, but a badly racked frame is usually better replaced, and a custom panel is not expensive.
Do you repair storm doors as well as screens?
Yes, including closers, latches, sweeps, hinges and glass or screen inserts. Storm door closers that have torn out of the frame after a gust are one of the most common calls.
My screen mesh has gone brittle and crumbles. What happened?
UV exposure. Screens on the south and west sides of a house in Valley take a lot of sun, and standard fiberglass mesh eventually degrades. Solar mesh lasts longer and cuts heat at the same time.
What mesh should I use if I have dogs?
Pet-resistant mesh, which is a heavier vinyl-coated polyester, and often a pet grille across the lower section. Standard fiberglass will not survive a dog that pushes against it.
How long does a rescreen take?
